Consistently rated A by the Florida Department of Education, MSD has strong IB, AP, and Advanced Academic programs. Athletics are competitive across multiple sports. College acceptance rates are excellent. The school has rebuilt its community following the 2018 tragedy and the academic and extracurricular programs remain top-tier. Middle Schools

Westglades Middle School is the primary middle school for Parkland students. It is an A-rated school with academic programs that prepare students well for the MSD environment. Strong parent involvement and active extracurricular programs.

Elementary Schools

Heron Heights Elementary, Park Trails Elementary, and Riverglades Elementary are the primary elementary options for Parkland residents. All are well-rated with active parent communities. The elementary experience here is strong and sets up the pipeline into Westglades and then MSD.
