New Construction in Hollywood, Florida: What Is Being Built and What It Costs

Hollywood has seen a wave of new development activity, particularly in the Young Circle / downtown area and in the beach corridor. New construction here ranges from luxury condos to affordable townhomes, giving buyers more options than in the more built-out cities to the north.

Downtown and Young Circle Development

Several new condo and mixed-use projects have delivered or are delivering in the Young Circle area. These offer urban living in walkable distance of the ArtsPark and restaurant district. Prices typically range from $380,000 for smaller units to $650,000 for larger or upper-floor units. The urban Hollywood lifestyle buyer is the target demographic.

Beach Corridor New Development

New and recently renovated condo buildings along the Broadwalk and beach corridor have been adding inventory. Prices for newer units with beach or Broadwalk proximity start around $450,000 and go to $800,000+ for ocean-view units. The product quality is generally higher than the older buildings that dominate this corridor.

Single-Family New Builds

In Hollywood Hills and surrounding neighborhoods, teardown-and-rebuild activity has produced some newer single-family homes. Custom and spec homes on established lots run $750,000-$1.5M. Not as common as in Fort Lauderdale but there is a small inventory of new and near-new single-family product.

Townhome Projects

The western parts of Hollywood have seen townhome development at more accessible price points - $380,000-$520,000 for 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath products. These attract buyers who want new construction in south Broward without paying beach-corridor prices.
